Chris Winter writes compelling, original content for advertising, marketing and branding.

My Story

Chris Winter, a native Virginian, proudly calls Colorado home.  After rigorous English composition studies at Fork Union Military Academy, he graduated with a double major in history & political science from Bridgewater College.

This writing concentration propelled Chris to New York City where he studied scriptwriting at the New York Film Academy.  His thesis film, Audacity, went on to win WorldFest Flagstaff’s Gold Award for best graduate-level production.

Traveling to Spain he chronicled the life of a young bullfighter in Chamon. Narrated by Roger Mudd, the documentary won Best International Documentary Feature at Chicago Latino Film Festival as well as New York & Los Angeles’s International Independent Film & Video Festivals.

Afterward, Chris continued writing commercials, narratives and music videos.  He joined the Marines, graduating from the DINFOS School of Journalism.  In addition to serving as a videographer for MarinesTV, he wrote broadcast scripts, documentaries and contributed to the USMC flagship publication, Marines Magazine.

He then formed his own company, WinterCine, LLC, honing his cinematography skills for 15 years.  His work appeared on ABC, CBS, CNBC, Discovery, FOX, History, MPT, MSNBC, NatGeo, NBC, Nickelodeon, PBS & WB, among others.

Of all Chris’s writing endeavors, however, his comprehensive experience as a cinematographer fostered an expert understanding of content.  Along with writing original commercial, narrative, broadcast and corporate copy, he regularly consulted clients on a broad range of deliverables.

Most of all, Chris’s extensive storytelling exposure cultivated a versatile knowledge of how the world sounds.  Whether writing scripts, website copy or immersing himself in copyediting, his rare experience shines through each unique project, always providing a flash of the memorable.
